Job summary

Wiss in Florham Park, NJ, seeks a Staff Associate, Advisory (ERP Implementation; BI & Technology) to work on ERP projects, AI-native accounting platforms, and AI-assisted workflows. Recent graduates will gain hands-on experience across close, reporting, AP, and advisory delivery while building client relationships.

You will collaborate with WissLabs, develop dashboards, configure workflows, conduct data imports, and deliver user training in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and ensure data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions and team collaboration.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and saved searches to support decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in documenting processes, workflows, and providing end-user training.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot, and a genuine interest in learning how LLMs apply to finance and accounting work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ERP and AI-native accounting platform implementations, enhancements, and optimization.
• Configure system settings, workflows, forms, and role-based permissions.
• Execute data import scenarios (CSV imports, templates) and validate data accuracy.
• Develop and maintain saved searches, reports, and dashboards for client reporting needs.
• Perform system testing, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions.
• Support user access management, including roles and permissions setup.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations and AI-assisted workflows.
• Provide end-user training and create documentation for processes and configurations.
• Assist with system maintenance, updates, and minor customizations.
• Apply AI and LLM tools to client deliverables such as document extraction, reconciliations, financial analysis, and report generation.
• Collaborate with WissLabs on AI-assisted workflows and experiments for finance processes.
• Participate in quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
• Engage in client meetings, help prepare Statements of Work (SOW), and manage multiple projects to deadlines.

About the Role:

The Staff Associate, Advisory (ERP Implementation; Business Intelligence & Technology) is an excellent opportunity for budding young professionals who wish to gain more experience in the accounting & technology fields. It provides recent graduates with the opportunity to work on multiple projects, experiencing the full breadth of responsibilities that come during servicing clients. This role also provides the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with clients and their other team members, setting the stage for developing a professional network. Beyond traditional ERP and CAAS work, this role offers hands‑on exposure to AI-native accounting platforms, generative AI tools, and the LLM‑powered workflows our WissLabs innovation team is building. You will work on real client problems while learning how modern finance teams are using AI to reshape close, reporting, AP, and advisory delivery. This is one of the few entry‑level seats in public accounting where you actually get to build with modern AI tools, not just read about them.

BI&T Responsibilities

• Assist in ERP and AI-native accounting platform implementations, enhancements, and optimization.

• Provide end‑user training and create documentation for processes and configurations.
• Assist with ongoing system maintenance, updates, and minor customizations.
• Apply AI and LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar) to client deliverables such as document extraction, reconciliations, financial analysis, and report generation.
• Partner with WissLabs innovation team on experiments that turn manual finance processes (close, AP, reporting) into AI‑assisted workflows, including building and testing prompts, evaluations, and small AI skills or agents.
• Gain hands‑on exposure to emerging AI-native accounting and finance platforms and help evaluate them for client fit.
• Participate in quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
• Client‑facing responsibilities:
  • Join and lead client meetings to capture requirements and provide solutions with technology.
  • Support preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) and project scoping activities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and adhere to deadlines.
