Job summary

Wiss is seeking an Assurance Entry Level Associate to join the Assurance Department. The role focuses on accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance of financial information.

You will work with a Practice Area Manager and Leader, supporting firm initiatives and client development in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. This position offers a Hybrid work arrangement from our New York City location, with opportunities for CPA exam Becker material coverage and professional development

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
• Internship experience in the public accounting industry is preferred.
• Candidates must have a general understanding of Microsoft Office programs, and any working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Candidates must be detail oriented and interested in pursuing a career in public accounting. We are looking for highly motivated team players who possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to exhibiting effective problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Assurance Entry Level Associate is a vital part of the Assurance Department, working with clients to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with financial information. Reporting to the Practice Area Manager and into the Practice Area Leader, this role is ideal for someone passionate about developing their accounting career in a supportive, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated individual who enjoys working in small teams and engaging with clients. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting both firm initiatives, and client development.

Accounting Procedures
