Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking a senior AppSec leader to own security strategy across a multi-year horizon, shaping roadmaps with Engineering, Product, Platform, and Data teams. You will set standards for secure design, code review, and risk modeling, while mentoring engineers to build scalable security capabilities.

You will work hands-on on threat modeling for AI-enabled systems, lead architecture reviews, and drive secure building blocks and cross-team guardrails.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading AppSec strategy with measurable results across multiple engineering teams.
• 10+ years in software engineering or application security with deep secure design experience.
• Expert code review, penetration testing, and exploit development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year AppSec strategy and drive cross-team initiatives with Security leadership updates.
• Shape roadmaps across Engineering, Product, Platform, and Data to integrate security early.
• Set secure design, code review, and risk modeling standards across departments.
• Mentor engineers and champions to raise hiring bar and scale AppSec capabilities.
• Lead threat modeling and security reviews for high-scale, AI-enabled systems.
• Define secure-by-default building blocks and guardrails for authorization and APIs.
