* This position is remote but requires coverage and expertise in the Dallas/Tarrant County markets in Texas. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance and possess appraisal expertise in these markets. *

** Candidates must hold a valid Texas real estate appraiser license/certification. Trainee licenses are not accepted. **

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will…

  1. Provide Desktop and Field appraisal reports according to client requirements.
  2. Conduct quality review appraisals and handle escalations.
  3. Perform quality control reviews on complex valuation reports.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex escalations independently, collaborating with field appraisers and lenders.
  5. Assist with valuation projects.

  1. Strong computer skills for report development and communication.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  3. A valid and current Appraiser License or Certification.
  4. The ability to work independently.
  5. A commitment to producing high-quality appraisal products.
  6. An interest in appraisal innovation and integrity.
Responsibilities
  • Complete appraisal assignments promptly, adhering to client timelines.
  • Perform quality control reviews on complex reports, including jumbo loans, high-net-worth properties, and unique properties.
  • Coordinate with field appraisers for revisions and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage escalations independently, coaching appraisers and communicating with clients as needed.
  • Stay current with company policies, USPAP, FNMA, and state regulations.
  • Maintain licensure and complete required continuing education.
  • Ensure timely updates and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain professionalism during site visits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid Appraiser License and/or Certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • Experience appraising various property types.
  • Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with major lenders or AMCs is a plus.
  • Advanced designations are advantageous.
