Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Staff Applied AI Agent Developer to drive the deployment of advanced AI agents for strategic customers. You will directly write bespoke code, build tooling, and contribute to product software while delivering on complex customer needs.

You will collaboratively design solutions, mentor teams, and influence product direction, working at scale to accelerate time to value and production readiness across AI platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 8 years of experience testing and launching software products; 3 years in software design/architecture.
  • 5 years in one or more: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML field.
  • Experience with core GenAI concepts (LLM, multi-modal, vision/models) and text, image, video, or audio generation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with strategic customers to design, co-develop, debug, and deploy custom conversational AI agents and solutions to accelerate time to value.
  • Act as a high-level problem solver, writing bespoke code, developing tooling, and contributing to core product codebase to resolve critical customer issues.
  • Systematize learnings from customer engagements by creating reusable tools, documentation, and accelerators, establishing best practices across the organization.
  • Serve as a critical feedback loop to Product and Development teams, synthesizing field insights to influence product strategy and feature gaps.
  • Provide subject-matter guidance on agent improvement, performance tuning, CI/CD pipelines, and production readiness.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dialogflow.
  • Experience in prompt development, model evaluation, and the creative application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Ability to be flexible and resilient in dynamic environments where priorities often shift and to take ownership and respond to urgent business or customer issues.

Individual pay determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
Canada: $216000 - $221000 (CAD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
