Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking several Staff Applications Engineers to join our customer-facing team. You will be a technical expert, guiding customers from marketing through in-orbit support, ensuring a seamless out-of-the-box experience for CesiumAstro products.

You will split time between labs, customer sites, and collaborating on the product roadmap. The role emphasizes exceptional technical communication, hands-on hardware/software understanding, and travel up to 20% to customer facilities and

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in technical product development or application support.
• Working knowledge of RF electronics and communication systems.
• Experience with FPGA and embedded software for applications with software-defined radios.
• Exceptional technical communication skills.
• Experience building relationships with technical customers.
• Experience with methodical troubleshooting of electronics and software.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
• Experience with high-reliability electronics and RF link budgets.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical customers through the use and integration of CesiumAstro products.
• Author technical application notes, user manuals, and white papers.
• Transfer customer feedback to our product development teams.
• Build long–term relationships with technical customers.
• Rapidly understand, troubleshoot, recreate, and solve customer-reported anomalies.
• Develop processes to structure product development and applications.
• Become a technical expert in Cesium’s products across RF, digital, power electronics, embedded software, FPGAs, DSP, and mechanical interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership to the Business Development Team.
