Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - Threat Research to secure modern healthcare technology by combining application security engineering, threat research, and secure development practices across cloud and enterprise environments.

You will evaluate risks, perform security assessments, leverage threat intelligence, mentor engineers, and contribute to scalable security architectures while collaborating across teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application security or related roles.
• 5+ years of experience with one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C/C++, PowerShell or Shell).
• 3+ years of experience securing public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 3+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support application security standards, policies, and best practices.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
• Promote secure coding and remediate findings.
• Contribute to security automation initiatives.
