Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in the HVAC industry or related Chiller Technology field.

• Proficient use of in-house engineering systems and documentation to respond to product inquiries.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative chiller solutions for data center applications.
• Design and customize chiller systems tailored to data center environments for optimal cooling efficiency.
• Assist sales personnel in resolving equipment or code challenges and communicate responses effectively.
• Coordinate with sales, design engineers and product management to align on customer requirements.

What you will do

You will have the chance to support the sale of Chiller products through the JCI HVAC System Branches as well as JCI sales/marketing personnel in export markets. This role has a strong impact on the success of the Data Center Chiller Solutions business. The support provided is primarily executed through direct assistance of the branch office personnel by providing pre-sale technical support, answering system level product application inquiries, generating special quotations, and supporting order execution via interactions with the Order Management and Contract Engineering teams. Communication and integration with Chiller Solutions product team activities is required to track new product development and acquire/retain knowledge of all assigned products both current and past products still in their life cycle. This is a hybrid position based in either San Antonio, TX, or New Freedom, PA. Various relocation packages are available.

How you will do it

• Daily interaction with field sales personnel providing guidance on the application and installation of assigned Chiller Solutions equipment in HVAC systems.
• Interaction with field personnel must include systems applications advice, creative solutions to unique customer needs and use of competitor knowledge to create advantages.
• Participate in the development of tools and documentation to support field sales as well as automate processes to support common inquiries.
• Be proficient in the use of in-house engineering systems and documentation to aid in responding to inquiries for product details.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for enhancing the reliability, scalability, and sustainability of chiller systems in data center applications.
• Design and customize chiller systems tailored to data center environments, ensuring optimal cooling efficiency and energy utilization.
• Assist and counsel sales personnel in resolving equipment/job/code challenges.
• Effectively communicate and follow up with sales personnel, design engineers and product management teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and responses are efficiently executed.
• Obtain supplier quotations in order to communicate cost and lead time for special product requests.
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of products (JCI and competitor’s), market conditions and direction, environment (external influences of industry organizations and governmental regulations), technologies and their effect to the business.

What you will need

Required Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience preferablyin the HVAC industry or a related Chiller Technology field Knowledge of the principles of refrigeration systems and associated equipment. Up to 15% travel is needed for factory visits, customer site visits and field visits related to training. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) .
