Job description

Title: Staff API Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC (REMOTE)

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Compensation: $65.00 - $75.35/hr

Work Requirements: USC, GC or Authorized to work in US

Skillset / Experience: Node, API, Typescript, consultative experience

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, focusing on Node frameworks (Express) for building APIs.
• Strong experience with OpenAPI standards, Swagger, and Postman for designing, documenting, and testing APIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and adherence to best practices.
• Experience with writing unit tests.
• Understanding of RESTful principles and HTTP methods.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate ECS).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with code generation tools (e.g., plop).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control (Git, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions).
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with React and TypeScript for building user interfaces consuming APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience leading projects and mentoring.
