Setpoint Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer to join our team supporting external data products.

You will report to the Head of Analytics and partner with engineering, product, and implementation to build and maintain the data infrastructure powering our products. This hands-on role will evolve into a player-coach position, leading data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics models using Python, DBT, and SQL, while mentoring engineers and growing a team in a collaborative

Qualifications

• 8+ years of analytics engineering or similar technical role.
• Proven expertise in DBT, SQL, and GitHub-based development.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience in a customer-facing role with technical/business stakeholders.
• Experience with asset managers, financial services data sets a plus.
• Based in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementations for the data products for external customers.
• Set technical direction and standards for the analytics engineering team.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics models using Python, DBT, and SQL.
• Create and manage dashboards in external and internal analytics products for actionable insights.
• Prototype new data products to extend the product suite.
• Collaborate with engineering to drive the data-products roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and support their professional development.
• Use GitHub-based workflows to maintain clean, version-controlled analytics code.
• Act as a SME for analytics best practices.
