About the Role

As a Staff Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement logical data models that drive critical decision-making across the enterprise. You will play a pivotal role in architecting data systems, maintaining data quality, and creating tools that enable self-service analytics for teams in Engineering, Product, Finance, and other business domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document company-wide single-source-of-truth data models.
  • Architect and maintain performant, reliable data pipelines and models to support:
  • Flexible querying and visualization.
  • Advanced analytical and scientific use cases.
  • Act as a data steward and subject-matter expert for assigned business and technology domains.
  • Build and enhance internal data tooling, focusing on:
  • Error logging, auditing, and data validation.
  • Democratizing data model and pipeline ownership.
  • Improving data discoverability and usability.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices for data modeling and development standards.
  • Drive data quality by transforming complex, dynamic datasets into consistent, trustworthy resources.

Skills You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 8+ years of experience querying, visualizing, and presenting data, ideally in a tech-driven data organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL with experience building scalable, performant queries.
  • 6+ years of experience with Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • 2+ years of experience with DBT or Spark-based data pipelines.
  • Strong background in schema design and data modeling strategies (e.g., dimensional modeling, data vault).
  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and experience working with various data structures and serialization formats.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems, write clear documentation, and communicate with precision.
