Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC is seeking an analyst to join a multi-disciplinary team, performing health and financial data analysis to ensure Medicaid compliance and high-quality reimbursement practices. You will verify data integrity, prepare written materials, and support decisions with rigorous documentation.

Preferred qualifications include a CPA/CFE and health care audit experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, or related field.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or CFE preferred; internship or equivalent experience in accounting or related field.
• Experience with health care auditing strongly preferred; ability to review policy language and apply requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts and clinical staff to analyze health-related and financial information and verify data integrity.
• Perform statistical calculations to determine compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other laws.
• Conduct research to determine compliance with Medicaid or other government program regulations.
• Assist with analyses related to Medicaid engagements and prepare supporting documents for professional decisions.
• Review federal and state Medicaid policies regarding health care reimbursement and quality incentive programs.
• Demonstrate strong communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement skills.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information and thorough electronic documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred
• CPA, CPA candidate, or CFE
• Internship or equivalent working experience in accounting or related field
• Experience with health care auditing strongly preferred
• Ability to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Proficient use of applicable software programs and data querying tools, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
