Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to shape AI Agent development and large-scale system architecture. You will mentor teams, influence core technology decisions, and collaborate across Product, Finance, Sales, and Engineering in a multi-office environment.

You will drive governance, ensure operational excellence, and align roadmaps with business goals while iterating quickly to meet evolving customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
• 9+ years post-Bachelor software development experience or advanced degree with relevant experience
• Experience as a technical lead or owner of complex initiatives
• Experience building large-scale storage, backend or distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to re-envision and scale Core Engineering technologies
• Drive technical excellence and governance of AI Agents as use-cases are identified
• Collaborate across teams to understand product requirements and deliver solutions
• Champion best practices in availability, scalability, and cost management
• Mentor senior engineers and partner with engineering leaders
• Contribute to the technical roadmap for AI Agents and Core SWE infrastructure
• Partner with Product, Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams across offices
• Influence architectural and implementation decisions for scalable, cost-effective solutions
• Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence
• Adapt technical plans in response to evolving customer and business needs
