Emerald AI is seeking a highly technical Member of Technical Staff to invent and build the next generation of AI infrastructure software that operates under power constraints. You will work at the intersection of AI systems, distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and energy-aware optimization, turning research into production deployments at scale.

This highly technical role requires strong research chops, hands-on software engineering, and the ability to deliver production-grade

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in ML systems, AI infrastructure, distributed systems, cloud computing, or HPC.
• Excellent software engineering in C++, Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience building research prototypes or large-scale production code.
• Strong publication record or history of technical innovations.
• Ability to drive research from idea to implementation independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and build novel power-aware AI infrastructure systems.
• Develop production-quality software and experimental infrastructure.
• Apply ML, optimization, or control techniques to AI infra challenges.
• Design, implement, and evaluate algorithms on large-scale platforms.
• Collaborate with product and customer teams to deploy research.
• Publish high-impact research at leading conferences when appropriate.
• Shape Emerald AI's long-term technical roadmap and directions.
