Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff/Sr. Staff Software Engineer for the AI Stack SDK team, focusing on Generative AI inference on Snapdragon platforms. You will design, develop, and deliver advanced AI/ML software solutions, with emphasis on model optimization, quantization, and runtime execution.

You will collaborate with ML Research, AI accelerator HW/SW teams, Product/Program Management, and QA across multiple locations, mentoring junior engineers and owning features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 4+ years in software/hardware engineering
• Master's degree with 3+ years experience in software/hardware engineering
• PhD with 2+ years experience in software design, development and delivery
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML software development, with focus on inference or model optimization

Responsibilities

• Convert, optimize, and deploy AI models for efficient inference on Snapdragon platforms.
• Design and implement graph transformations and optimization for AI runtimes (ONNX Runtime, ExecuTorch, Qualcomm AI Stack SDK).
• Apply quantization and performance optimization to improve latency, throughput, memory usage, and power.
• Work on Generative AI, transformer architectures, and advanced inference techniques.
• Collaborate with ML Research teams to prototype and productize features into SDK solutions.
• Debug complex issues across models, runtime, OS, compiler, and hardware layers.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive end-to-end feature delivery.
