Job summary

Mojo Vision, based in Cupertino, California, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the evolution of Mojo Studio, an AI-accelerated engineering platform for designing micro-LED optical interconnects. You will shape architecture and drive platform-scale collaborations across teams.

You will transform prototypes into reusable platform capabilities, build scalable APIs and workflows, and enable AI-assisted design processes that integrate electrical, optical, thermal, and CAD workflows.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS, CE, EE, optical engineering, physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering in computational engineering, scientific software, EDA, CAD, or multiphysics simulation platforms.
• Expert-level Python and software architecture.
• Proven track record turning prototypes or scripts into reusable platforms or internal products.
• Strong API, schema, and data-model design skills.
• Experience building AI-assisted tools using agents, structured tool calling, retrieval, or evaluation loops.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical architecture and roadmap for Mojo Studio.
• Transform project-specific code into reusable platform capabilities.
• Build scalable APIs, services, schemas, and workflow orchestration systems.
• Develop agent-based workflows connecting layout, electrical behavior, optical performance, and thermal response.
• Unify electrical, optical, thermal, statistical, GDS/EDA, and CAD workflows.
