Job summary

ClickUp is seeking a Staff AI Engineer – AI Platform to lead the design and delivery of our AI platform. You will focus on building scalable backend services for LLM deployment and integrate multiple providers to power ClickUp's intelligent features.

You will work hands-on with LLMs, drive MLOps practices, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with product and data teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable AI/ML platforms in production.
• Proven track record applying LLMs and AI models to product features.
• Deep backend, distributed systems, and cloud-native skills.
• Experience with multiple LLM providers and orchestration tools.
• Strong Python/Go/TypeScript backend development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable AI platform services for LLMs.
• Apply LLMs to deliver intelligent features across ClickUp.
• Build robust APIs and backend systems for AI features.
• Develop model serving, monitoring, logging, and evaluation infra.
• Integrate with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and manage routing/fallbacks.
• Advance AI privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize performance, cost, and scalability in the cloud.
• Stay current with AI infra, MLOps, and LLM applications.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams.
