Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a founding Staff AI Infrastructure Engineer to design and scale the end-to-end ML platform powering autonomous systems. You will own the technical roadmap, build robust infrastructure, MLOps tooling, and systems architecture for training, evaluating, hosting, and serving complex AI models in cloud and air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building production-scale ML systems and platforms (MLOps).
• Proficient in Python, Go, C++, or similar backend languages with deep ML systems knowledge.
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes), GPU scheduling/orchestration, and distributed training frameworks (PyTorch Distributed, Ray, Slurm, Megatron-LM).
• Hands-on experience building distributed data pipelines (ETL) and managing terabytes of multi-modal data.
• Experience setting technical direction, leading complex migrations, and mentoring senior engineers.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain our foundational training, orchestration, and experimentation infrastructure for state-of-the-art model development.
• Identify bottlenecks in the ML research lifecycle and build automated tools for tuning, profiling, and tracking.
• Design and scale high-throughput ETL pipelines for terabytes ofMulti-modal data from assets and test sites.
• Architect high-performance model serving frameworks for cloud and air-gapped edge environments; build CI/CD for ML models with validation, canary deployments, rollback.
• Create pipelines for evaluation, model validation, and RLHF/DPO to ensure safety and predictability.
• Collaborate with AI Researchers and platform engineers to standardize infrastructure across autonomous programs.
