Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. in Aurora, CO is seeking a Staff AI/ML Engineer (LLMs) to lead development of agentic AI capabilities and other LLM-based solutions for mission management applications.

You will mentor a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced AI/ML and convert research into practical, scalable tools across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. Strong leadership and hands-on ML expertise are required.

Qualifications

• BS in ML, CS, math or related field.
• Experience leading researchers and developers.
• 2+ years building LLM applications with listed techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplined team to implement ML algorithms for customers.
• Apply LLMs to domain-specific problems and workflows.
• Adapt foundation models for specialized use cases.
• Design RAG systems and semantic search architectures.
• Build production-grade LLM apps and agentic systems.
• Deploy AI solutions across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Analyze large multi-modal datasets for insights.
• Translate research to mission-relevant capabilities.
• Communicate strategy, status, and risks to leadership.
