Job summary

Hercules is seeking a senior or staff level AI Context & Harness engineer to help us build the future of AI software development. You will own Hercules' AI coding agent and evaluation systems, shipping features and researching improvements to reduce costs, increase speed, and boost accuracy.

You will collaborate on the core stack (TypeScript, React, Postgres, Redis, Temporal) and AI tooling while exploring data from 1M+ repos and millions of chat messages.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
• Track record of independently shipping features to customers.
• Experience with context and harness engineering concepts like summarization, prompting, caching, memory, and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and own Hercules' AI coding agent.
• Build, maintain, and own Hercules' online and offline evals.
• Research ways to make the agent cheaper, faster, and more accurate at scale.
