Job Title Staff Accountant – Construction

We are a growing construction company seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a strong understanding of WIP (Work-in-Progress) billing in a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP
• Support monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assist with WIP schedules, project cost tracking, and revenue recognition
• Work closely with project managers to ensure proper billing and job costing
• Reconcile job-related accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments
• Understanding of WIP accounting and percentage-of-completion method
• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with construction accounting systems a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
