Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting. The position is a 6-month contract in a fast-paced, mission-driven energy company with a collaborative team culture.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 2+ years' experience, including GAAP and month-end close tasks. Remote flexibility and strong Excel/ERP skills are valued assets in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in a corporate or industry accounting environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Renewable energy, construction, real estate, or project-based accounting experience is a plus.
