Job description

Some Of The Responsibilities Include

  • Overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Directing the monthly close activities by preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance reports.
  • Producing and analyzing financial statements, board packages, grant reports, and cash flow projections.
  • Helping to navigate annual audits, tax filings (Form 990), and reporting obligations to funders.
  • Safeguard adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Leading, coaching, and reviewing the work of Associates and Bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy and professional development.
  • Creating and refining standard operating procedures while driving efficiencies in internal processes.
  • Managing ad hoc projects and participating in cross-departmental efforts as needed.
