Job summary

On Top of the World Communities is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily banking, AR processes, and mortgage database operations. You will perform reconciliations, support the Controllers, and help with tax reporting and payroll reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience (substitutable for degree).
• Experience with Timberline Accounting, Newstar, Loan Ledger and Jenark preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily banking activities and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple companies and accounts.
• Performs daily accounts receivable tasks including billing customers, paying vendors, and reconciling bank statements.
• Manages the mortgage database: entering new mortgages, posting payments, processing ACH drafts, recording payoffs, and communicating with residents.
• Performs and reviews account reconciliations for general ledger accounts on a routine basis.
• Assists Controllers with accounting functions as assigned.
• Supports monthly sales tax reporting and payroll reconciliations as needed.
• Stays current with accounting developments and maintains confidentiality of financial files.
• Adheres to OTOW standards and safe working practices.
• Maintains professionalism toward residents, visitors and staff.
