Job summary

CloudHQ LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Development Accounting Team in the Washington, DC area. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations, with emphasis on accuracy, multi-tasking, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 2+ years of experience, and familiarity with Yardi. CPA is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within our expanding data center organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience in a professional setting.
• CPA or CPA-eligible is preferred for advancement.
• Experience with Yardi or similar real estate software is highly preferred.
• Public accounting and/or real estate industry experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile inter-company transactions and generate invoices as needed.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor credit card charges, discrepancies, and refunds.
• Perform general ledger variance analyses and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close, cost reports, and other required reports.
• Support year-end audit procedures.
• Maintain accounting documents and records.
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
