Job summary

Banneker Ventures is expanding to a Property Management division and seeks a Staff Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close, working closely with internal departments to deliver timely analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
• Experience with ERP systems and cloud-based accounting software (NetSuite).
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments and approvals.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheets).
• Support month-end/year-end closing and audits.
• Assist with data entry and spreadsheet preparation for financial reports.
• Maintain organized, secure financial records and accounting software data.
