Job summary

Aureate Development is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing investment and development firm specializing in real estate assets. This role supports accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate ledgers and timely reporting.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, procurement, project cost oversight, and coordination with executives, project managers, and operations teams to maintain internal controls and budget alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Understanding of procurement procedures and inventory management.
• Familiarity with purchasing software and tools.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable for multiple entities.
• Review invoices, billings, expense reports, and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and fixed assets.
• Provide GL coding and support for accurate reporting and expense allocation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and supporting schedules.
• Oversee procurement processes, vendor payments, and AP aging.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and ensuring proper allocations.
• Collaborate with construction/development teams for cost tracking and variance analysis.
• Support internal controls, system improvements, and audits.
