Job summary

Seattle Search Group partners with a Seattle-area technology organization to hire a Staff Accountant for a six-month contract, with hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in Seattle, WA.

The role supports Procure-to-Pay and General Ledger activities, including AP, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, month-end close, and financial reporting support, as well as an ERP transition from IFS to NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with procure-to-pay, accounts payable, or general ledger is preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and supporting documentation.
• Perform PO matching and resolve routine exceptions.
• Support vendor onboarding and maintain vendor master data.
• Prepare payment-batch documentation and supporting materials.
• Prepare AP and vendor statement reconciliations.
• Record employee expense transactions and related accruals.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and close activities.
• Assist with payroll journal entries and intercompany reconciliations.
• Contribute to ERP transition efforts from IFS to NetSuite.
