Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in a growing construction-related organization. This role will participate in the monthly close process and manage ongoing accounting operations with exposure to multiple entities.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to take ownership of their work, building a foundation in general ledger accounting while gaining exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to general ledger accounting.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to the general ledge.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and investigate variances.
• Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Prepare accounting reports and supporting schedules for management.
• Assist with audits by providing schedules, work papers, and documentation.
