Job summary

Knorr Brake Company is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the MERAK group with daily accounting tasks and the bi-annual budget process. The role covers month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and assist with AP/AR duties, audits, and inventory checks.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and hands-on experience with GL, journal entries, and SEM. This is an on-site role in Westminster, MD with salary guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or business administration.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with GL and WBS coding and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end close.
• Prepare journal entries and post them in SEM.
• Assist with AP/AR duties and budget/forecast preparation.
• Support yearly audit and inventory processes.
• Prepare reconciliations and budget-related reports.
