Jonaco Machine is seeking a driven and analytically minded Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing and aerospace environment. This is a broad-scope role designed for someone who thrives on variety - contributing across financial reporting, operations analytics, compliance, and day-to-day accounting functions.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to month-end close (5-day cycle) and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support KPI development and analytical reporting - translating operational data into actionable financial insight.
• Participate in the annual budget process and year-end audit, gaining exposure to the full financial planning cycle.
• Manage Accounts Receivable processes including customer invoicing, collections follow-up, and account reconciliation.
• Monitor and resolve past-due accounts, coordinating with customers and the internal sales team to address discrepancies.
• Prepare and validate daily bank deposits; reconcile deposit activity with accounting records.
• Create and maintain split work orders in coordination with production and job costing systems.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and payroll processing.
• Assist with quarterly use tax filings and related compliance documentation.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls and aerospace-related documentation requirements.
