Job summary

You will work with multiple client companies in West Michigan, contributing to month-end closes, cost analysis, and audits. A bachelor's degree and 2+ years of accounting experience are preferred; GAAP knowledge and ERP software proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions monthly.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor and customer reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production data to provide insights for decision-making.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, adhering to deadlines.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
