Job summary

OxyChem, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Sales and Inventory Accounting team at our headquarters. This role reports to the Accounting function and requires accurate reporting of sales and inventory data.

You will analyze cost data, support month-end close, and ensure integrity of close processes while collaborating across locations in a hybrid work environment with strong Excel and SAP skills.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 18 accounting hours.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a hybrid environment.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, PA, BW).
• Strong understanding of inventory, intercompany and cost accounting.
• Detail oriented with ability to prioritize during close.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely reporting of sales and inventory data; analyze product cost data and reconcile inventory.
• Generate and distribute recurring management reports (inventory, reserves, outlook vs. actuals).
• Support month-end close entries and account analysis across locations.
• Assist and lead terminal and warehouse inventory audits and reconciliations.
• Provide support for external audits, government and tax reporting.
