Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, reconcile bank accounts, and manage general ledger activities. The role supports international accounting, currency translations, and assists with year-end audits while ensuring GAAP-compliant revenue recognition and adherence to policy.

The position is Boston-based with remote work 1-2 days per week and occasional office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience; project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with international accounting.
• Experience with Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounts as needed.
• Process international uploads and record monthly currency translations.
• Provide general ledger and reporting support to subsidiary entities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and suggest improvements.
• Assist with year-end financial audits.
• Ensure revenue recognition aligns with GAAP and company policy.
