Precision Castparts Corp. Greenville Metals Team is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage complex accounting duties for US and UK entities. The role includes month-end close, revenue recognition support, cash management, and coordination with internal and external auditors.

Responsibilities include VAT filings, intercompany transactions, and SOX compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least four years of relevant experience, with strong MS Office

• Four years' experience with multi-site accounting preferred.
• SOX experience preferred.

Summary

This position will perform several accounting duties including accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, revenue recognition compliance, cash management, month-end closing and various other general accounting responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for general accounting duties for both US & UK entities, including month-end closing activities
• Complete and reconcile in transit activity
• Assist with annual statutory audit requests
• VAT management, completion and filings
• Complete backup responsibilities for Greenville entity as required
• Complete various intercompany accounting transactions
• Work closely with the operations team to resolve any true-up issues
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including sub ledgers. Research any discrepancies.
• Complete various reporting requests as needed.
• Adhere to all SOX requirements to ensure full SOX compliance.
• Liaison with auditors including internal, external and SOX audits.
• Complete special projects including internal, division and corporate requests.
• Be able to meet strict deadlines.
• Perform all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Four years' experience with multi-site accounting preferred
• Sox experience preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position with repetitive hand motions. Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office area to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer, copy machine, calculator and computer printer.

Work Environment

Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the office setting with minimal exposure to climate changes, uneven surfaces, heights, and noise.
