Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. Greenville Metals is seeking an accounting professional to manage US&UK general ledger, month-end close, accounts receivable/payable, and SOX compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 4 years of multi-site accounting experience, with strong MS Office skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4 years’ experience with multi-site accounting preferred.
• Strong MS Office and internet applications knowledge.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting duties for US & UK entities, including month-end closing.
• Reconcile in transit activity and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with annual statutory audit requests and VAT filings.
• Ensure SOX compliance and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Support operations to resolve true-up issues and meet deadlines.

Job description

This position will perform several accounting duties including accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, revenue recognition compliance, cash management, month-end closing and various other general accounting responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for general accounting duties for both US & UK entities, including month-end closing activities
• Complete and reconcile in transit activity
• Assist with annual statutory audit requests
• VAT management, completion and filings
• Complete backup responsibilities for Greenville entity as required
• Complete various intercompany accounting transactions
• Work closely with the operations team to resolve any true-up issues
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including sub ledgers. Research any discrepancies.
• Complete various reporting requests as needed.
• Adhere to all SOX requirements to ensure full SOX compliance.
• Liaison with auditors including internal, external and SOX audits.
• Complete special projects including internal, division and corporate requests.
• Be able to meet strict deadlines.
• Perform all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Four years’ experience with multi-site accounting preferred
• Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications.
• High level of self-motivation to perform and succeed.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and use own initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
• Able to work outside normal office hours as business requires.
• Ability to travel within the US & UK.
