Job description

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Tampa, FL. Details for the position are as follows:


Job Description:
  • Pay: $35-$50/hr to start!
  • 3-month assignment with possibility for extension based on performance and budget.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Hybrid!
  • Position will mainly be responsible for overseeing expatriate payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payroll expenses, reconciliations, and compliance with tax regulations, including coordination with third-party tax partners.
  • Position will also be responsible for administering post-payroll processes, including net pay and employment tax reconciliation, benefit plan interfaces, funding (e.g., 401k), and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting and tax matters.
  • Additional responsibilities include managing payroll-related activities for employee relocations, processing fringe benefits, and assisting with net cash projections and actual reporting for Treasury, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma is Required.
  • 1+ Years of experience accounting & employment tax is Required.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and W2-C is Required.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is Required.
