Job summary

Entertainment Technology Partners (ETP) is a growing leader in live event technologies, seeking an experienced accountant to support monthly close, fixed asset management, commission accounting, and intercompany activities. You will prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least five years of related accounting experience, with advanced Excel skills,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience with 5+ years in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed assets and commission accounting.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure balances align with the trial balance.
  • Prepare journal entries and provide supporting account analysis.
  • Research unusual accounting transactions and recommend reclassifications.
  • Assist in preparing management reports that support business decision-making.
  • Review monthly financial results to understand period-end performance.
  • Perform financial analysis of general ledger accounts and assist with ongoing accounting activities.
  • Prepare monthly department commission calculations.
  • Track prepaid expenses and allocate expenses according to established accounting policies.
  • Prepare payroll accruals and other month-end journal entries.
  • Review fixed asset records, including disposals and gains, and prepare related journal entries.
  • Review cost allocations to ensure direct and indirect costs are distributed accurately across departments.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions; review monthly bank reconciliations and accounting entries.
  • Participate in special projects involving tracking, recording, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Assist accounting leadership with annual audit activities and prepare schedules.

Location: Orlando, FL | Full Time | Pay Range: $60,146.75 - $72,465.96/YR (Based on experience and qualifications)

What You'll Do
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure balances align with the trial balance.
  • Prepare journal entries as needed and provide supporting account analysis for review.
  • Research unusual accounting transactions and recommend appropriate reclassifications.
  • Assist in preparing management reports that support business decision-making.
  • Review monthly financial results to understand factors affecting period-end performance.
  • Perform financial analysis of general ledger accounts and assist the accounting team with ongoing accounting activities.
Manage Key Accounting Processes
  • Prepare monthly department commission calculations for review.
  • Track prepaid expenses and allocate expenses according to established accounting policies.
  • Prepare and enter payroll accruals and other month-end journal entries.
Oversee Asset and Cost Accounting
  • Review and maintain fixed asset records, including disposals and gains on fixed assets.
  • Prepare related journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Review cost allocations to ensure direct and indirect costs are distributed accurately across departments.
Support Corporate Accounting Activities
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining intercompany transactions.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and accounting entries as needed.
  • Participate in special projects involving the tracking, recording, reconciliation, and analysis of financial information.
Contribute to Audit Readiness
  • Assist accounting leadership with annual audit activities.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation as directed.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience plus five years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed assets and commission accounting.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
