Orionplacement is seeking an accounting professional with 1+ year of public accounting experience to support individual and business tax returns, accounting, and audit engagements in a collaborative, CPA-focused team.

This hybrid Graham, NC role offers mentorship, exposure to GAAP and tax regulations, and opportunities to grow your CPA credentials while delivering accurate, timely client work using Excel and cloud-based platforms.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with tax preparation for individuals and/or businesses.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns with guidance from senior team members.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance engagements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate, timely client work.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding finances and documentation.
• Utilize accounting software, Excel, and cloud-based platforms to complete engagements efficiently.
• Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
