Orionplacement is a boutique public accounting practice seeking a tax and accounting professional in Hampton, NH. The role offers full-time, on-site work with potential remote flexibility after establishment, and a salary in the $60k–$80k range plus benefits.

You will prepare federal and state returns, perform bookkeeping in QuickBooks, and support tax planning for a diverse client base. CPA progression and strong Excel skills are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required; Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience required.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• QuickBooks proficiency required.
• UltraTax experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, account maintenance, and financial statement preparation using QuickBooks.
• Support tax planning and research to help clients make informed financial decisions.
• Assist with audit, review, and compilation engagements and related financial reporting procedures.
• Independently manage multiple client engagements while maintaining accurate, timely deliverables.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members throughout engagements.
• Prioritize competing deadlines and maintain quality during tax season and other high-volume periods.
• Develop broader client-management responsibilities as your experience and capabilities grow.
