Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Staff Accountant to deliver end-to-end accounting, analysis and reporting in support of GAAP and SOX controls. The role blends corporate and divisional responsibilities. This hybrid position combines three onsite days with remote work.

Responsibilities include month-end journal entries, general ledger analysis, and preparation of financial statements and schedules. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 2 years of experience, and proficiency with MS

Responsibilities

• Prepare end-to-end month-end journal entries and general ledger analyses
• Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules (P&L, balance sheet)
• Assist in preparation of 10-K/10-Q and earnings release tie-outs
• Provide internal reporting materials to executive leadership
• Support SOX compliance processes and internal control documentation
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and close checklist maintenance
• Assist with PeopleSoft GL system tasks and system-related projects

Delivers timely and accurate finance and accounting services in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and consideration of proper SOX controls. Collaborates with corporate office functions and divisional accounting/ analysis/tax activities. Performs compilation, posting and review of assigned month-end journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote.Responsibilities:Prepare month-end journal entries and complete general ledger account analysis.Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules (profit & loss, balance sheet).Preparation of 10K and 10Q and earnings release tie outs.Preparation of internal reporting materials provided to executive leadership.Compile and provide audit support as requested by internal and external auditors.Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations.
