Job summary

Quiddity is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Texas. This early-career role offers hands-on experience across A/R, A/P, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting within a professional services environment.

You will support daily accounting activities, collaborate with departments, and develop a broad understanding of accounting practices while pursuing growth with our team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities across multiple areas.
• Assist with A/R including payment processing and follow-up.
• Assist with A/P including invoice review, coding, processing, and vendor maintenance.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with General Ledger activities and month-end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Conduct account analysis to identify trends, variances, and unusual activity.
• Assist with preparation of financial and management reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies.
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as skills develop.
