Job summary

Allied Power is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist the Finance & Accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining ledger integrity, and performing monthly close.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 0-3 years of accounting experience (CPA candidate preferred), and knowledge of GAAP and Accounts Payable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years accounting experience, CPA candidate preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Accounts Payable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain ledger integrity by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions; conduct regular ledger maintenance and audits.
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by analyzing account information.
• Perform reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and monthly closing tasks.
• Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records using current technologies; oversee journal entries and schedules.
• Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team and support internal controls assessments.
