Behavior Frontiers, LLC in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to support the accounting team in a full-time role. The position handles vendor invoices, expense reporting, journal entries in Sage, and budgeting support.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferred major in Accounting.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
• Familiarity with Sage is a plus.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be sensitive to deadlines and be detail oriented.
• Must be skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to provide negative TB test results and clear FBI & DOJ fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and on time
• Verify that invoices have been reviewed and approved by the purchasing team
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, or other account-related inquiries
• Maintain positive vendor relationships by ensuring accurate and timely resolution of issues
• Maintain and record W-9 forms for 1099 vendors
• Reconcile company credit cards on a bi-monthly basis
• Verify that all credit card charges are legitimate, properly coded, and supported with receipts
• Resolve credit card discrepancies and communicate with cardholders as needed
• Assist with fixed asset tracking, leasehold improvement tracking, reimbursements, and related tasks
• Track and verify employee reimbursement expenses
• Record operating and disbursement account journal entries in Sage
• Assist with expense analysis, regional analysis, and departmental analysis
• Track budgets, prepare budget vs. actual reports, and follow up with departments or regions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
• Prepare correspondence, mailings, and priority shipments for the Accounting Department
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required
• Maintain organized files and records within the Accounting Department
• Other duties as assigned
