Job summary

American Tower is looking for a Staff Accountant to join the U.S. Accounting team in Atlanta. You will support monthly close, prepare journal entries, analyze accounts, and reconcile balance sheets to ensure GAAP compliance.

You will also assist with reporting on fixed assets, repairs, and utilities and contribute to SEC reporting as needed. The role offers a hybrid schedule in Atlanta with opportunities to impact REIT reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply GAAP to standard business transactions.
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing account analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to present ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist monthly close activities for the U.S. market including journal entry preparation and account analysis.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support SEC reporting.
• Provide reporting on basic operating statistics and financial data; support internal teams and ad hoc analyses.
