Job summary

Rehmann in Michigan seeks an Accountant to join the Client Accounting and Advisory Services team. You will reconcile client bank statements, prepare journal entries, and update depreciation schedules while assisting with payroll and cash transactions.

You will maintain client accounting files, support a collaborative team culture, and seek opportunities to expand services with existing clients. A Bachelor's in accounting is required, with CPA path or 2–5 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field completed or in progress.
• Progress towards CPA or commitment to 2–5 years in described duties.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel and accounting software.
• Strong client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling client bank statements.
• Preparing journal entries.
• Updating depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Preparing financial statements.
• Assisting with transactional accounting including payroll, cash receipts, and cash disbursements.
• Maintaining clients' accounting software and files.
• Building relationships to foster teamwork and collaboration.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce other Rehmann specialists to clients.
