Job summary

Mann Wireless, a Largo, FL headquartered company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the full accounting cycle on-site. You will manage month-end close, GL maintenance, cash flow forecasting, payroll accounting, and AP/AR oversight, partnering with leadership to build scalable financial workflows for multi-state field operations.

You'll work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a relaxed, on-site office environment that values accuracy, clarity, and proactive problem

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of GL, financial statements, close, payroll, and AP/AR.
• Experience with job costing or project-based accounting environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Oversee AP/AR, ensure accurate job-costing, timely billing, collections, and vendor payments.
• continually evaluate and refine accounting workflows to scale controls as volume grows.
• Partner with People & Talent on payroll and benefits reporting; work with Risk & Process on audits.
• Serve as primary liaison for external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors.

We are hiring a Staff Accountant on-site at our Largo, FL headquarters. As our lead accounting professional, you will be the steward of our financial integrity, owning the entire accounting ecosystem—from full-cycle month-end close and general ledger maintenance to cash flow forecasting, payroll accounting, and AP/AR oversight.

This role offers a comfortable, friendly, and casual office environment where you won't be just a cog in a corporate machine. You will work directly alongside company leadership, our Risk & Process Manager, and our People & Talent team to build scalable financial workflows that support our multi-state field operations.

Requirements

• Financial Close & Reporting: Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Produce hyper-accurate, timely financial statements and maintain overall general ledger integrity.
• Cash Flow & Revenue Operations: Oversee AP and AR functions to ensure accurate job-costing, timely billing, collection management, and disciplined vendor payments. Deliver clear visibility into our cash position and cash flow trends.
• Process Optimization: Continually evaluate and refine accounting workflows to eliminate manual bottlenecks, reduce errors, and scale internal controls as our project volume grows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: [PL1] Partner with the People & Talent Manager on seamless payroll execution, benefits administration, and employee-related financial reporting. Work alongside the Risk & Process Manager on compliance and internal audits.
• External Advisory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external CPA firms, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring all documentation is organized and audit-ready.
• Strategic Leadership Support: Identify financial trends, risks, and project-costing opportunities, communicating plain-language insights to leadership for confident decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (B.S. in Accounting or equivalent preferred).
• Core Technical Expertise: Hands‑on knowledge of GL management, financial statements, full‑cycle close, payroll, and AP/AR.
• Project Accounting: Experience with job costing or project‑based accounting environments (telecommunications, construction, or technical services preferred).
• Analytical Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving account discrepancies.
• Communication & Drive: A self‑starter attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain financial data clearly to non‑finance team members.
