Job summary

Aliya Healthcare Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for analyzing, compiling, reconciling, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies or areas requiring further review.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends and discrepancies, and develop spreadsheet reports.
• Prepare and post general ledger entries and maintain accounting records.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and other accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payments by reconciling accounts and accruing expenses.
• Research and respond to accounting and financial questions from data.
• Enter and convert financial data into the general ledger.
• Review financial information for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
