Job summary

Lifestyle Communities in Columbus, OH is seeking a Staff Accountant to support Project Finance & Accounting. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and job cost activities for our property management operations, and help prepare accrual-based financial statements.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team to analyze data, improve processes, and ensure accurate reporting. A bachelor's in accounting and 1–3 years of experience are preferred; strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• Experience assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and job cost activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely accrual basis financial statements in accordance with close checklists.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations including analysis of key accounts.
• Complete cash reconciliations for required accounts.
• Maintain continuous improvement mindset working to consistently improve efficiency and effectiveness of the close process.
• Maintain appropriate communication with Supervisor through close process to identify and address potential delays.
• Communicate allocations of monthly shared services provided by LC to other department leaders.
• Assist with other information requests across the organization as needed.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting.
• Maintain appropriate communication with Company accounting managers.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
