Job summary

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Louisiana is seeking a Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst to support the Finance Department in NRMC Resource Building.

Under the Director of Finance and CFO, you will handle monthly accounting, variance analysis, audits, and special projects, with duties including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reports. One year of accounting experience is preferred; a bachelor's degree is required; healthcare accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
• 1+ year in a general accounting environment preferred.
• Years of experience may be considered in lieu of Accounting or Business degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and enters end-of-month journal entries.
• Reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Inputs monthly accruals of expenses.
• Supports NRMC development of budgetary and financial/operational information systems development/deployment.
• Prepares end-of-month statistic spreadsheets
• Performs end-of-month financial statement and statistical analysis.
• Backup to payroll and accounts payable.
• Invoices and records collections for NRMC rental properties.
• Records miscellaneous cash on a daily basis.
• Compiles labor and statistical information for bi-weekly productivity reporting.
• Performs monthly accounting functions for NRMC foundation.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
